Northumbria Blood Bikes would like to thank our friends in the business community, who are supporting the charity, with goods, services, sponsorship and donations:
North East Ambulance Service
The North East Ambulance Service are a generous supporter of Northumbria Blood Bikes in a number of ways, not least the fact that a number of our vehicles are stationed at Ambulance Depots around the region.
However, did you know that they have a specialist skills team that could help your organisation too?
Introducing ... The Specialist Skills team at the North East Ambulance Service
We provide paramedic-led first aid and health and safety training. We are the trainer of choice for public, private and third sector organisations across the North East of England.
Our Specialist Skills team delivers a paramedic-led training to ensure you have the skills required within your organisation to deal with any incidents. We can also help you to make sure your skills are up-to-date and that you comply with UK regulations.
First aid at work
All employers have a responsibility to ensure employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or become ill when they are at work. We offer a range of nationally accredited first aid at work courses, based on your organisations requirements, and we’re here to help if you need any guidance selecting the right course for you.
Health and safety training
We offer health and safety training including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), anaphylaxis, automated external defibrillator (AED) training, immediate emergency care (IEC), fire safety, drug overdose training, conflict resolution and safer moving and handling.
We can work with you to design, develop and deliver bespoke courses which are specific to your organisation’s requirements.
We are a supplier of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) - a safe, reliable, computerised device that can analyse heart rhythms and enable a non-medically qualified rescuer to safely deliver the lifesaving shock. AEDs can also be purchased alongside specific AED training packages.
Queen's Award For Voluntary Service

We are delighted to announce that the national Mark Benevolence Fund of the Masons has kindly and generaously granted us a donation of £18,000 to purchase and equip a new blood bike, and fuel it for a year. We are incredibly grateful to the Fund for their massively generous donation, which will help us to provide our service.
Great North Dog Walk
In its 25th year, the Great North Dog Walk will be supporting us this year by linking with us for sponsorship at this event, and we will be present there too.
R & G Racing
R and G Racing gave us a great discount when they provided the crash protection bars for our new Triumph Trophies.
Many thanks to Experience Days for donating a £50 voucher as a raffle prize.
Two Wheel Centre
Northumbria Blood Bikes would like to thank Two Wheel Centre, who generously donated an Oxford Maximiser (battery optimiser) to help keep the battery of our Blood Bike in top condition.
Two Wheel Centre are official stockists of RST clothing, Sidi boots, AGV helmets, Shoei helmets and more. Everything for you and your motorcycle
Alpine Hearing Protection
Many thanks to the good people at Alpine Hearing Protection who have donated pairs of their top of the line motosafe earplugs for our riders. Earplugs not only prevent hearing damage but also help the rider stay focused by blocking out wind noise while allowing the rider to communicate and hear the noise of traffic etc. They also come with swap-able filters to allow the rider to select the correct level of attenuation. Thanks again to Alpine for their support.
