As the final part of this phase of evolution of our job recording, we are launching a new dedicated activity recorder for the Newcastle Trust GP Run.
The new activity recorder must be used for all jobs on the GP Run which begin on or after 1st April 2026.
This activity recorder makes it much easier and quicker to record the job details for the Newcastle Trust GP Run by removing much of the repetition that is required when entering the GP run as individual standard jobs.
After you have identified your role (rider/driver or shift controller) and the name of the other party, along with the day/date of the run, all that is required for each collection ( the form will work out which collections are required for any given day) is the time of the collection and the JRN for that job. Finally you simply need to record the time of the delivery at the Freeman Hospital. Of course, there is a mechanism to highlight any collection which can't take place (enter zero for the JRN) and to explain why, but for most GP runs, entering the data will be much quicker than it is at the moment.
This is a new activity recorder that will be completed by both Riders and Drivers as well as Shift Controllers. Having a single form ensures that both sets of roles are asked the same questions (as far as possible). Further, using a single form which will help with our reconciliation of job reports at the end of the month and it will make ongoing maintenance much easier as there is only one form to manage.
To prepare for the launch of the new form there are some some resources you should review:
