Today four Blood Bike groups have taken part in a national relay of frozen samples.

Beginning with Joe from Blood Bikes Scotland at Victoria Hospital, in Kirkcaldy, down to Berwick-upon-Tweed where it was handed over to Northumbria Blood Bikes driver Paul. It was then transported down to Wetherby and handed over to Graham from Derbyshire Blood Bikes who transported it down to Peterborough where it was relayed with Colin from SERV Suffolk & Cambridgeshire for its final leg of the relay to Addenbrooke’s Hospital.

All completed completely free of charge for the NHS by Blood Bike volunteers.
