Blood Bikes Santa Run Day 3

Today was our third and final day of visiting the Children’s wards for our annual Blood Bikes Santa Run 2024. On our Santa Run today we visited South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust Sunderland Royal Hospital, South Tyneside Hospital and Palmer Community Hospital.

Over the past three days we have delivered 88 giant Santa bags filled with toys and gifts for 11 different children’s wards across the North East of England. We hope we’ve made people smile as they’ve seen us on route to the hospitals.

We would like to say thanks to all of our volunteers, their friends, family and colleagues for their donations. With special thanks to Reece Foundation for donating £6,000 and to everyone who donated to our Crowdfunding page, Pearson Engineering Ltd, Nissan and DFS Furniture for collecting gifts. Special thanks go to Durham Constabulary’s Stanley Police who have allowed us to store the donations ahead of our deliveries.
