Volunteer of the year 2026

Each year at our charity’s AGM we announce the winner of this award following nominations from our volunteers. 

This year’s winner was nominated for supplying of a vital service in keeping blood cars on the road. Often this is at short notice and at as low a cost as possible to the charity. They often prioritises our vehicle defects against their paying customers and is always willing to get vehicles back into service as soon as possible. Whilst we tend to concentrate this award on members who do the shifts, the reality is if we dependant on main stream garages to keep our fleet running, then there would be a number of shift opportunities not available to members because cars were stuck in garage booking queues. 

We are very proud to announce this year’s volunteer of the year is Jim Robson!
