Many thanks the good people at Alpine Hearing Protection who have donated another 20 pairs of their top of the line motosafe earplugs for our riders.

Alpine Motosafe earplugs are designed to prevent hearing damage to motorcyclists.  At around 60mph a motorcyclist can be exposed to noise that exceeds 90 decibel.  In the UK the law prescribes a hearing protection when the noise is above 85 decibel. Regular noise above 80 decibels will lead to irrevocable hearing damage. Wind noise is a big problem for motorcyclists. It not only leads to hearing damage, but also reduces concentration.

Alpine motosafe earplugs help our riders stay focused by blocking out the noise of wind but due to their clever design and use of filters they allow the rider to communicate and hear the noise of traffic etc. They also come with swap-able filters to allow the rider to select the correct level of attenuation.
