<p><u><strong>Ad Hoc Job -&nbsp;Clinician on call</strong></u></p> <p>&nbsp;When required&nbsp;we may&nbsp;be asked to collect a clinician from either their home address or a hospital for transport into a hospital or between hospitals. This must be an &#39;emergency&#39; situation to prevent our service being mistreated.&nbsp; See&nbsp;procedure <a href="https://www.northumbriabloodbikes.org.uk/sites/default/files/library/published/%27On%20Call%27%20clinician%20procedure%20-%20ROTA012_1.pdf">ROTA012 </a>in the members handbook giving full details of the job. Below are some of the key points.</p> <ul> <li>The call will come from generally come from one of the Hospitals.</li> <li>The Clinician is to be picked up&nbsp;within&nbsp;30 minutes from the call, please give an ETA and advise if this is not possible (e.g. no cars on duty or travel distance).</li> <li>The call is to be classed as &quot;Emergency&quot; to prevent misuse of the service.</li> <li>No return journey will be available since the emergency no longer exists.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p>If no car on duty, or it&#39;s out of area, then please advise hospital to make alternative arrangements.&nbsp; The clinician must make their own return arrangements.&nbsp;</p>
