<p>Sean Storey (Hospital Liaison officer) has further clarified the sample dropoff process for the RVI as requested by the Newcastle Hospitals Trust (RVI &amp; FRE).&nbsp; This does not apply to&nbsp;any other hospitals we collect or deliver to.</p> <p>All samples, including COVID&#39;s are to be left at RVI Leazes main reception and not transported to&nbsp;Blood Sciences Lab.&nbsp; The only exceptions to this are the 08:00 &amp; 11:00 weekend samples and the BoB run.</p> <p>In exceptional circumstances when the Blood Sciences lab are busy, they may request a collection from the labs to save staff having to transport down to&nbsp;Leazes reception.&nbsp; Can I ask controllers to verify this and remind callers that this is not our instructed process.</p> <p>Similar arrangements apply to New Victoria Wing collections &amp; deliveries unless it is a Pharmacy request and the package needs to be collected and signed out from Pharmacy.</p> <p>If any riders, drivers or controllers receive any negative comments with this arrangement&nbsp;can they please refer the matter back to Sean for further discussion with hospital management.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
