<p><span style="font-size:16px">As some of you will be aware we appear to have had restrictions placed upon us&nbsp;regarding the car/bike washing facilities at South Shields base.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px">As it is a 24 hour staffed station we need to be mindful that at times the crews are resting, and as we are guests we need to do our best not to disturb shift personnel at that time. We have had discussions with the station commander, and we have agreed that vehicles can be cleaned at the following times (weather permitting):</span></p> <ul> <li><strong><span style="font-size:16px">Prior to commencing a 19:00 nightshift, there is no restriction in the time prior to this. Where possible, vehicles should be starting a shift in a clean condition whilst out on public view;</span></strong></li> <li><strong><span style="font-size:16px">Prior to commencing a 07:00 dayshift, there is no restriction in the hour before this time;</span></strong></li> <li><strong><span style="font-size:16px">Following completion of a 12 hour nightshift,&nbsp;vehicles can be cleaned between 07:00 - 08:00, as the fire service would usually commence cleaning their appliances at approximately 08:00;</span></strong></li> <li><strong><span style="font-size:16px">Following completion of a 12 hour weekend/PH dayshift, vehicles can be cleaned on returning to base.</span></strong></li> <li><strong><span style="font-size:16px">However, for any shift finishing at midnight, or around that time, we will NOT clean any vehicles and they will have to be cleaned prior to the next shift.</span></strong></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size:16px">Ambulance station facilities are largely un-restricted (weather permitting) since crews tend to be out on a constant basis so at this time no restrictions are in place.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px">Please remember we are guests at all of our bases and we should adhere to these times at all locations (where applicable), and maintain good relations with everyone.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px">Should anyone be challenged around these facilities at either fire or ambulance premises, then please report back through committee on call so the matter can be further investigated.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px">Thanks for your understanding.</span></p>
