<p>As you are probably aware there is to be a city centre parade for the NUFC team on Saturday 29th March.&nbsp; This is scheduled between 12:00 - 21:30 with a rolling programme of road closures and re-openings as the parade moves forward so the city centre will effectively become a no-go area for traffic for much of the day.</p> <p><u>Significant closures for us will be</u>:</p> <p>Queen Victoria Road down to Civic Centre and along to Blue House roundabout for journeys to Tyne Bridge or Freeman, therefore use the Grandstand Road route being mindful there will be temp traffic lights at Blue House for the entire period so consider detours to Freeman via Kenton Road to Church Road for South Gosforth.&nbsp; The morning RVI-FRE deliveries should be unaffected but be prepared.</p> <p>Barrack Road is scheduled for closure between 16:00 &amp; 18:00 so jobs to/from NHSBT may be problematic.</p> <p>The Central Motorway is likely to be busy both ways into the city (much like it is on a match night) so try to avoid it where possible.</p> <p><u>Shift Controllers</u> - be very mindful of jobs received as not everyone may be aware of the potential impact.&nbsp; If Boots Newcastle request a collection, then this needs to be declined for obvious reasons but hopefully they won&#39;t need us.</p>
