<p>Just to bring you up to date with the ongoing road network saga.&nbsp; You may have seen various reports on the following:</p> <p>1.&nbsp; <u>Gateshead flyover </u>- work is scheduled to begin on its demolition which will impact the under structure roundabouts at Park Lane &amp; Sunderland Road.&nbsp; Providing we don&#39;t experience road clsures on the Redheugh Bridge following similar inspections, then any collections or deliveries from/to the QE should utilise this route for&nbsp;the forseeable future.</p> <p>2. <u>Central Motorway A167</u> - the section from the Great North Rd down to the Tyne bridge will be impacted by single lane operations and some total closures again for the forseeable future.&nbsp; This is to allow for over pass repairs to be carried out.&nbsp; Suggest we avoid this area as much as possible especially on weekend shifts.</p> <p>3. <u>Tyne Tunnel </u>- finally some good news, the weekend closures implemented to allow for repair work on the Northbound Tunnel are now complete so the tunnel is back to 7 day normal operaions.&nbsp; Consider this route for collections/deliveries from/to STGH &amp; SRH whilst the Newcastle area is impacted, again with weekends in mind.&nbsp; Reminder that we <u>don&#39;t</u> pay for Tyne Tunnel journeys.&nbsp; Periodic overnight single lane closures will still occur for routine maintenance. <span style="color:#FF0000">Observe reduced speed limits during maintenance closures.</span></p>
