<p>Given the current fuel crisis and the soaring cost of both petrol &amp; diesel, would riders &amp; drivers please use BP filling stations as much as possible. This gives us a 23% discount (almost 40p/litre) on current diesel <em>prices <strong>(excluding the North &amp; Southbound A1 stations at Washington which should be avoided)</strong></em>.&nbsp; There are sufficient BP stations around our operational area to allow for refuelling to take place during or at end of shift.&nbsp; With reference to cars, there is no immediate need to refuel above &frac34; of a tank other than out of courtesy for the next driver, however bikes should always be left with as close to full tanks as possible, especially if used for the Hexham or GP runs.</p> <p>When using BP stations, please ensure the actual BP fuel card is used as it&rsquo;s apparent the &lsquo;All Star&rsquo; cards are often being used at BP stations which won&rsquo;t provide us with the discount above.&nbsp;The BP website&nbsp;does show all station locations and can be <a href="https://www.bp.com/en_gb/united-kingdom/home/products-and-services/find-your-nearest-bp.html">found here.</a>&nbsp; A BP Stations location page has also been added to <a href="https://www.northumbriabloodbikes.org.uk/ops/locations/BP_Filling_Stations">Operations/Locations&nbsp;</a></p> <p>Re-fuelling will be monitored going forward to ensure we also support our fundraising team who have to collect the extra revenue currently being wasted by the use of non BP stations.</p>
