There is currently an issue gaining access to South Shields Fire Station as the access gate we normally use is not working.

To gain access to our vehicles we need to ring the doorbell and one of the Station personnel will let us through the station to access the vehicles at the rear. Once the vehicle checks have been completed, one of the Fire Tenders will be moved to allow us to drive/ride through the station to exit with our vehicle.

To return the vehicle, please ring the doorbell and one of the Station personnel will move one of the tenders to allow us to return the vehicle to the normal parking position.

The access gate fault has been reported and it will be repaired ASAP.
