**Northumbria Blood Bikes Update**

We have been overwhelmed by the amount of people who have been in contact with us offering to help and join us as volunteers. 

We pride ourselves on the professional approach to training our team undergo in order to represent us as volunteers and much of this is delivered face to face. Unfortunately with the restrictions currently in place and many places closed we have found we’re unable to progress new recruits past accepted applications. This does mean we have had to make the difficult decision to suspend volunteer applications. We know many people have found they have extra time available and are keen to support our NHS front line but we are unable to complete all of the necessary training of new recruits. 

We will welcome new volunteers to our team again in the future once restrictions are lifted and training can resume. Thank you all for your interest and we hope you all stay safe.
