Update to Blood On Board Activity Recorders - Oct 2025

Following the introduction of the new activity recorders for the Blood on Board runs in May of 2025, there has been some misunderstanding (or misuse) of the "Additional Jobs" section. 

It has become clear that the intended use of this section (to simplify data entry for jobs delivered to or handed off at the RVI) is not working as intended, resulting in incomplete or incorrect job entries being made.  This, in turn, is causing considerably difficulty when preparing the end-of-month reports for the NHS Trusts.

As a result we have amended the activity recorder to cover jobs that are handed off at the RVI for onward transport to NSECH if the packages are collected from BEVS, DMH or UHND.

Change to Form

 

Because:

 

The section
“Extra Jobs (Delivered to RVI) in addition to BoB run”
is now divided into sections for each
collection or delivery point to make the form clearer

Add the option to record jobs:

DMH >> NBB Relay (for NSECH)

This is a frequent requirement so has been
added to the BoB activity recorder to
simplify data entry

Add the option to record Jobs:

UHND >> NBB Relay (for NHSBT)

This is a frequent requirement so has been
added to the BoB activity recorder to
simplify data entry

Add the option to record a second JRN for
all jobs where the package is handed off 
to another NBB member
for onward delivery to NSECH:

This allows better tracking of the whole job
from collection to delivery and 
allows more accurate reporting to the Trusts
