Contacting Bloodrun EVS
The full procedures for relays with other groups are available here. The information below is provided for convenience
Bloodrun EVS now operate an automated dispatch system which can be accessed via mobile phone (Text) or web browser on a smartphone or PC.
Use the preferred method from either of the 2 methods below to send a message to Bloodrun EVS to request a pickup
For Blood on Board run - please ensure that the pickup is requested 1 hour before arrival at DTV and not when leaving RVI
Ad hoc Relays (for onward journey to any hospital within Bloodrun EVS catchment) - giving 1 hours notice for a handover at Peterlee Fire Station.
If there is no Bloodrun EVS rider available, the system will advise of this, and Shift Controller must make NBB driver or rider aware of this and they will complete the run themselves.
If a Bloodrun EVS rider is available they will (normally) contact the shift controller to confirm the pickup. For ad-hoc relays, remind the Bloodrun EVS rider that the pickup point is Peterlee Fire Station and not Durham Tees Valley Airport which is used only for BoB related handovers.
