Today our Chairman (Peter Robertson) and Vice-Chairman (Alan Ross) attended Nissans Sunderland plant to represent Northumbria Blood Bikes.
They were presented with a cheque donation of £1000.00 for the group; our biggest single donation to date which brings us considerably closer to purchasing our first liveried bloodbike. During the event, Peter and Alan spoke to many other charities who were also benefitting from Nissan's annual event, and exchanged ideas and thoughts about fundraising & publicity with the more established organisations. Peter did a short presentation to the other attendees describing the purpose of our group and thanked Nissan for their generous donation. By coincidence Alan has a career move which sees him starting work at Nissan next week, so he hopes to keep the communication channels open for future opportunities as well as recruiting new interest in Northumbria Blood Bikes from the employees at the plant.
