Could you join our team to support this winter?

The winter months are here again, with the darker nights already upon us, and we have already seen the first cold flurries of the white stuff. What does this mean for us as a charity?

During this season we rely on car drivers a tad more to keep our service running. When the roads become slippery we have a duty of care to our riders and call our drivers into action. Not only that but below 3 degrees we cannot transport whole blood on bikes so our drivers are an integral part of continuous service in the winter.

This is where you could help. We need volunteers for all roles throughout the year however in order to be up and running as part of our team this winter. We are ideally looking for already advanced qualified drivers, (IAM, RoSPA, Police, DSA), to join our team of volunteers. You will need to meet a few requirements such as: hold a full current driving licence (for 2 years or more), an acceptable driving history (acceptable to our insurers) and able to undertake any other training as may be required to perform safely.

Not only do we have 4 manual drive cars but this year we have added 2 automatic cars to our fleet which means even more people are able to join our team.
