Nominations close tomorrow for the Ecclesiastical Movement for Good awards - and your nomination could be the one that helps us win. £1,000 could make a real difference to the work we do helping to improve the healthcare of people across the North East of England.
Our final words to each and every one of our volunteers: “We know that volunteers don’t ask for rewards, but we hope that our sincerest appreciation can be a reward for all your help. Some people work their way towards being difference but volunteers strive towards making a difference. The life of others is better today than it was yesterday, thanks to the efforts of volunteers.”
Thank you to those that have stepped up to take on the role as a committee member and a trustee of our charity. Your leadership, support and expertise is appreciated. It can be hard at times and feel like a thankless task but your contributions do #makeadifference.
Many auxiliary roles are admin based work but they also include roles involved in maintaining our fleet and service plus supporting new recruits on their path to becoming active volunteers. Most volunteers that hold auxiliary roles are also riders, drivers, shift controllers and fundraisers. Our volunteers care deeply and they step up to support our charity in additional roles. Thank you for all that you do.
Our small but dedicated team of speakers present to groups, clubs and other organisations to professionally promote our charity’s service. They help us to increase awareness about who we are and what we do. Like our fundraisers opportunities have been limited over the past year although we have seen a couple of virtual ‘talks’ held. Our sincerest thanks for all the talks previously held and those to come.
Fundraising is a really important part of what we do, as without raising donations we wouldn’t be able to cover our costs. Our fundraisers are enthusiastic and are also able to engage with potential new recruits.
