Glorious weather for those participating in our third annual 360 Challenge. Today gave us the perfect opportunity to showcase our brand new addition to the fleet, automatic 4x4 Skoda Octavia, purchased thanks to the Aviva Community Fund. This vehicle will help us immensely during adverse weather.
After this mornings long awaited announcement we have come to a decision on our new fleet additions’ names. The one that’s going to be based north of the Tyne will be called ‘April’ and the one south of the Tyne will be called ‘Fool’.
We are pleased to be able to announce the paperwork has finally been completed on our new vehicles.
After a discussion earlier this year around diversifying our fleet we have chosen to add two of these new vehicles to begin with. One to be based north of the tyne and another south of it. We have been working hard behind the scenes to expand into new bases ahead of the additions joining us.
Due to their capabilities we have a new training program in place too.
Not only will they expand our fleet but also accommodate volunteers who may be shorter in stature.
For anybody that read our March issue of the newsletter you would have seen we were hoping to announce the new vehicles that we have joining our fleet. Unfortunately that has been delayed slightly but fingers crossed we will be able to let you know very soon. Once we have crossed the ‘t’s and dotted the ‘i’s on the paperwork we can let you know all their details.
Those that attended our recent open meeting were given a sneaky peek at our 2017 year in review. It’s now time to share it with you all. We’re sure you’ll all agree that 2017 was a great year for us as a charity and we’re looking forward to the year ahead.
