Galaxy Hot Chocolate vote win

Northumbria Blood Bikes is celebrating after receiving a £300 donation from the GALAXY Hot Chocolate Fund. After a mere 3 days of voting we received news from GALAXY Hot Chocolate Fund that we had been successful in gaining enough votes to be selected as recipients of the £300 donation. Thank you to everybody who helped us with this vote.

Accident on A69 - Fri 15th January

Northumbria Blood Bikes regret to announce that one of our volunteers was involved in a road traffic accident at approx 19:00 this evening, while on active duty on the A69 Eastbound near Ovingham. The rider was treated at the scene and taken by ambulance to the Royal Victoria Infirmary Newcastle. They have a broken clavicle and a broken elbow, together with multiple minor injuries, but is expected to make a complete recovery.

Website Maintenance This Weekend

You’ve Got to Hand it to the Ladies!

This Boxing Day, the lady members of Northumbria Blood Bikes will be operating the first ever all-

female Blood Bike shift, an entire 12 hour shift on Boxing Day 2015, delivered solely by women.

Northumbria Blood Bikes, is the north east’s voluntary organisation that provides a free, out of 

hours, medical urgent and emergency item courier service, so across the Christmas and New Year 

period it’s volunteers will be out in all weathers making sure that Blood (and all the other vital

We're on the Run, the Great North Run 2016

All of our places on the Great North Run 2016 have been filled. Please watch this space later this year for possible places for GNR 2017.

 

Last year (or is it this year), Northumbria Blood Bikes obtained 10 sponsored places for the Great North Run, and 10 people took part in the 2015 race, raising over £6,000 on our behalf (not to mention the countless other people who did the run and gathered sponsorship themselves for our benefit.
